Consensu
Jack box style game. Everyone uses their controllers as input. (Secret vote)
First Round. It shows the category "favorite snack".
On the main screen, it shows five times as many snacks as there are players. Every player chooses five snacks.
The snacks that at least two people choose go to the next round. The snacks with one or less votes get eliminated. Any player that ONLY chooses unpopular snacks (one or less votes) also gets eliminated.
The rounds continue, by decreasing the votes each player gets, and eliminating choices until there is only one snack left.
Congratulations you have reached consensus.
After this category has been selected. Stats are shown. Who voted the most divergent from the group, who voted most similar. Rating all the players. (Feels like a secret vote, but isn't)
Game continues with a new category... Pets, Toys, colors, etc…
After people understand the game, then the categories get spicier... Languages, hair color, eye color, etc...
Punish the people that don't vote in a group, while slowly eliminating choice. Then ranking them (showing who is good and who is bad/wrong) based on their stats.
The last category is the remaining people in the game... You can vote for yourself but if you only get one vote you are eliminated.
If there are two people left and they both vote for themselves or each other. Everyone loses.
This teaches them to eliminate unpopular choices. To vote as a group. To choose a charismatic leader. That you'll be punished if you're different.
The optimal gameplay is to choose unpopular categories from the very beginning and get eliminated from the game early. You don't want to keep playing this game.
